Chapter 55: My Journal (2) (Part 2)
The cultivation of the five arts must continue. I want to see what changes will occur when they reach their peak, whether they can enhance my self-created Cloud Thunder Burst, and whether they can lead to the fusion of new techniques.
Most importantly, the numbers behind the cultivation interface are not filled, and it irks me to no end!

After a day of rest, I set up five-element protective formations everywhere using talismans, guarding against potential attacks by small beasts when I'm not around. Tomorrow, I'll depart for mining.

After a day of bitter fighting, I managed to exterminate them all, sustaining more than twenty injuries and narrowly escaping death.
Although dangerous, there were gains.
I obtained beast souls, consumed beast meat, and materials such as beast skin, bones, and fangs, all exchangeable for money.
No trace of human presence was found along the underground river; no one had ever dug this far. Beneath the river, a mid-grade spirit ore vein was discovered, all of it mid-grade Water Spirit Stones.
It turns out that my martial skills couldn't advance because what was lacking wasn't diligent practice and comprehension but real-life combat.

Abandoning humanoid forms, I made them into eight-armed spider shapes, the size of a child, with pickaxes at the front of each arm.
Injected them with beast souls, and they automatically mine underwater. When the spider abdomen is full, it tips over when brought ashore.
I only need to wait onshore, refilling the spiritual energy in the Divine Machine Stone when depleted, allowing uninterrupted mining.
Seeing this, I feel that puppetry is a must-learn skill. It can save me a lot of time.
Perhaps I can manufacture various small puppets to handle simple tasks, such as cultivating spiritual fields, sowing and watering, and harvesting spiritual fruits.
